League Game vs Motherwell Phoenix Reds

Tonight, we welcomed over Motherwell Phoenix Reds to St Ambrose for our final game of this part of the season. The boys' attitude and efforts on an extremely hot night were absolutely brilliant, they've never gave up and kept going right till the e and d, couldn't fault any of them.

We tried our very best to get our game going, and we had some great moments in the game, but it turned out that the opposition were on their game with Taryn and our defenders making some outstanding saves and goal line clearances.

There will be some games like that, but as I said to the boys, it's a learning moment for all of us, and we keep working hard together.

As usual we asked the other team coach to pick a POTM and they chose Harley, said he was very brave and made some great stops, the coaches POTM went to Leo, he never stopped trying right from the go and never stopped trying to create. Well done, boys.

As this was our final league game, I would just like to say how proud us coaches are of these boys, they turn up week in and week out and give their all for the team, they really have bought into what we are trying to achieve and they have an excellent team spirit about them too. They never give up, and we have all seen glimpses in the last few weeks of their never say die attitude. The character and belief they have in each other is something that will stand us in good stead as we progress through the pathway to 9 a side.

Personally, I have loved every minute of this period of games, the highs and lows of watching this team and hopefully creating great memories for the boys along the way.Thank you all for your support tonight and throughout the season, it  really has been appreciated and hasn't gone unnoticed.A big shout out to the matchball sponsors,
