Friendly vs Scotland Boys Club Blacks
What a team.
Tonight, the Colts travelled over to Hamilton for a friendly match against Scotland Boys Club Blacks, and the boys have done brilliantly with every player putting a shift in and playing a part in the team performance.
After a slow start, we saw ourselves a few goals down, but that didn't dampen the spirits of the Colts boys, they have worked together and battled their way back into the game come half time. They have then took the game by the scruff of the neck in the second half and charged on, playing some excellent attacking football with speed and accuracy, defending very aggressively when required and show a great composure on the ball to build and pass their way from the back. Top tier football.
Some really happy coaches on the sidelines tonight watching the boys implementing and executing what they are learning in training, its certainly starting to look like they are picking things up. Again, the togetherness within the team is clear to see tonight, with each of them showing great support for each other.
The opposition coach chose Brodie as the POTM as he worked his socks off all night, created some excellent opportunities, and scored some excellent goals, too. The coaches POTM went to Ben for his resilience to keep going in the game and never gave up, and played a massive part in turning the game in our favour. Well done, boys
Massive thanks to tonight's team sponsor, Joanne Maguire, we appreciate the support to the team.
