Friendly vs Gartcairn

The Clarkston team were on their travels again tonight up to the home of Gartcairn, the MTC park for a random Wednesday friendly.

This game has turned out to be a really good test for teams with our Clarkston boys giving their all right from the get go with a few basic errors costing us a few goals and as usual the boys have dug deep and shown their character to get back into this game, when it looked easier to give up and accept defeat.

What we were most impressed with today is the attitude and energy of the majority of the boys to lift and push each other to play our style of football. Once we got going, some of our combination play out from the back was excellent, we saw some really brave and composed defending under pressure too from our defenders which has set the tone throughout the team to get something out of the game.

We played a lot of the boys in areas of the pitch that they aren't used to, some players we put into their usual positions, both have been done to help the players gain confidence and aid their development. All of the players tonight have stepped up and done an excellent job wherever they played.

Since Leo was up supporting his team mates, we allowed him chose tonight's POTM and he has chosen Taryn. The coaches POTM went to Harley, and I'm sure anyone watching this game will agree that both players we outstanding tonight. Well done, boys.

Thanks to you all for your support and for agreeing to this last minute friendly, great to see the support from you guys for the development of the boys.
