Friendly vs EK Burgh Blues
What a game we saw tonight, a real tough test for the Colts tonight against a really physical opposition. These are the type of games that can help the boys develop and really test their abilities and resilience to the full.
Every single player gave everything tonight. We always go on about attitude and effort, and they brought that in abundance. Everything about our play was positive tonight, the passing, the movement, the speed of our play, and the way we stuck to our principles just ended up being too much for our opposition to handle.
I felt it was harsh on the team being down at half time, and the defence and goalkeepers hadn't done much wrong, but the break came at the right time for us to reset and go again and we saw an excellent 2nd half display from our team, they worked hard for each other and dug in at times but that's exactly what we are looking for from them, even hearing the subs on the sidelines cheering tackles, blocks, saves and passes just shows that we have a group of boys who trust and are will to help eachother too.
Tonights POTM went to Oscar Brook, his attitude was brilliant tonight, his passing out from the back was a great weapon for us and his reading of the game at times was great which lead to some important interceptions that then transitioned into attack, great full back play. Well done, Oscar
Thank you all for your support, we hope you all enjoyed the game on a dry night.
Thanks to all the match ball sponsors of the last few weeks and also tonights ball sponsor too, who was Phillip Harvey. They have all contributed to us playing tonight and future games with a brand new match balls
