Friendly vs BSA Yellows

Another week, another friendly ! A what a game we had on our hands today. With both teams trying their very best to impose themselves and their style of football in the game. A very physical affair with everything being contested for making it a good challenge for both teams.

Our Colts boys have shown again their character and personality to keep fighting and sticking to our principles of play, their attitude was first class, effort amazing and with their energy to work for each other off and on the ball we have seen a true Clarkston Colts performance with a never say die attitude.

The defending was much better this week with the boys doing alot of hard work and a focus on this in training all week, but looking at most of our goals not only were they all excellent finishes, they have come from playing out from the back using great combination play and speed that the opposition just couldn't live with. Top, top stuff.

We asked the opposition coach to choose a POTM and they chose Leo, saying his speed and composure on the ball were excellent and a top finish to get his goal at the end. Todays coaches POTM went to Adam for his speed of play, willingness to cover every blade of grass forward and back. Great work from both players. Well done to both of them.

Today we also say goodbye to Sam, the OG of Clarkston Colts, once a player and has been an integral part of the coaching team for the past few years. A major influence on our teams principles and im sure the boys will miss him being around. I can definitely say Andrew, Chris and myself will miss him being around. We wish Sam all the best for the future and he will always be welcome back to spectate or coach anytime.
