Friendly vs Bellshill Athletic Yellows

On a freezing cold morning at Sir Matt Busby Sports Centre we have welcomed Bellshill Athletic over to our home pitch for another cracking game of football. Both teams playing some great football and both goalkeepers making great saves.

Our Colts boys have again just kicked on from where they have left off from Monday nights friendly. The boys have turned up today raring to go and play our style of football, the attitude, effort and energy from every single player was amazing, every player has fought for each other and when we have got the ball, the composure shown to then go and play football and affect the game was great to see and something we have have been trying to get them to learn whilst playing under pressure.

We never talk about winning, we are 100% focused on development and the development shown in the last 3 games has been very evident from our side of the pitch, players have stepped up to the challenge every time as we continually ask them to give us extra or try something new. Their buy into our team principles has been brilliant, our attacking from the wide areas at speed and  some of our 1 and 2 touch play through the thirds of the pitch was tremendous to watch. Loads of great performance from all the players and some real bravery putting in tackles too.

The last few weeks Andrew and myself have been extremely proud coaches to see this development in progress and we are fully focused on the process of the development plan.

Today we asked Ozzy to choose a POTM as was unwell and unable to play, he chose Leyland today saying he was unreal playing as the striker today, his hold up play and playing other team mates into play was brilliant and we agreed. Well done, Leyland.

Thanks again to you all cheering us on from the sides, it really helps the boys to keep going. Hopefully your all thawed out now.

Onto the next one.

Cmon the Colts
