Friendly vs Airdrie CC Reds - Rematch

Tonight we have had another Monday night friendly under the Caldervale lights, and what a game we have witnessed, a great watch from a neutrals point of view with some high quality football on show from both teams.

The Clarkston boys have shown another top performance, just kicking on from Saturday. Right from the off we could see they were up for the fight, not giving the Airdrie players any time on the ball to play and when we got hold of the ball the speed of our attacking was great. All of our players have stuck to their task and put in an excellent team performance, working their socks off. Some really brave defending and excellent reading of the game from the defenders and also the amount of shots on goal from us was really pleasing to see too.

Another game where our players have shown a fighting spirit, real character and personality to never give up and play right to the end. The final goal we scored had Clarkston written all over it, a total team goal where we fight to win the ball in the centre of the pitch then play 3 killer one touch passes and then the ball is in the net. Thats is right off the training pitch and we couldn't be any more buzzing with the boys watching that being executed in a game.

Another friendly where game time is the winner, we can see real development from some players getting some game time, we are giving individual challenges to playing out of position and not one has complained once about giving it a go, and they have smashed the challenges every time.

Every player involved was POTM tonight, couldn't have asked for more from any player. Well done, boys.

Thank you to you all at the sides cheering these boys on, we can feel the support at the sides from you guys, so I can only imagine it is spurring the boys on to do well too.
